Alabaster Estates is wild land, on purpose. The stone, the grass, and the sky are the venue — and a day out here is planned a little differently than a hotel ballroom. Here is everything to consider, plainly.
The Setting
The estate sits in South Park, Colorado, just outside Hartsel — about 2 hours from Denver and about 75 minutes from Colorado Springs.
Current access: horseback and off-road vehicles only. There is no road to the altar. Plan access for every guest and vendor before reserving. Horses and transport are not included; no riding partnership is confirmed.
Electricity is available on site. Power supports lighting, music, getting-ready spaces, and vendor equipment.
Restrooms
Restrooms are included with every wedding at no extra charge, sized to the number of guests you bring. For very large celebrations, your vendors are welcome to bring additional restroom trailers — but our facilities are planned to carry your day on their own.
Getting Ready
Two private getting-ready spaces — one for each of you — with power, mirrors, and room for your people, tucked well apart so the first look happens exactly when you choose.
Catering
Caterers work from a covered open-air cabana with work surfaces for staging and preparation. It is not a full kitchen — there are no ovens, ranges, or refrigeration. Your caterer should plan to cook on their own equipment (mobile kitchens, grills, and food trucks all thrive here) or deliver finished dishes. Power is available; confirm equipment needs with your caterer early.
Access & Parking
Current access: horseback and off-road vehicles only. There is no road to the altar. Plan access for every guest and vendor before reserving. Horses and transport are not included; no riding partnership is confirmed.
Ordinary cars, shuttles and delivery trucks are not suitable for the current off-road approach.

Questions Couples Ask
Up to 300. Wooden ceremony benches and wooden harvest tables with bench seating are ours and included; anything beyond that comes through your vendors. Your altar and feast ground are exclusively yours — the estate is laid out so separate celebrations never cross paths.
Colorado skies move fast. A tent (arranged through your rental company) is welcome over the dining theater and feast ground, and plan your ceremony within your confirmed access hours. We'll plan the weather call with you the week of.
Yes — bring anyone. On booking you receive our preferred vendors list; preferred vendors carry a 15% commission included in the final agreed service price, while Park County local vendors have a 10% fee when applicable. Cleanup crews must come from our list.
Yes — restrooms are included at no extra charge, sized to your guest count. For very large celebrations your vendors may bring additional restroom trailers, but our facilities are built to carry your day.

Weddings at Momo’s Grange start December 1, 2026. Request your wedding date and choose whether to add morning access, evening access, or both. A date is held only after confirmation.
There is no road to the altar. Current access is horseback and off-road vehicles only. Snow and ground conditions may prevent access; confirm arrangements and a weather plan before reserving. Do not assume plowed-road access.
A full-day wedding runs noon to 10 p.m., at Momo’s Grange, the only built ceremony altar; The Artemis Altar is coming in November. For $3,000, the morning package opens the property at 9 a.m., adding three hours for vendors and everyone. Crew-only cleanup follows from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. The optional $3,000 evening package adds up to two celebration hours, until midnight, followed by crew-only cleanup from midnight to 1 a.m. the next day. All times are Mountain Time.
Our favorite way — and the one we recommend: your day-of coordinator runs the rehearsal on your wedding day, right before the ceremony. Everyone's already there, and there's no time to forget a thing. Plan it within your confirmed access hours; your planner can also rehearse the party off-site.
Yes — with a licensed bartender. Couples bringing alcohol also pay a $500 non-refundable liability-insurance fee to the venue.
No open flame of any kind — this is Colorado wildfire country and we protect it. Battery candles and LED lighting are welcome and photograph beautifully at night.
There is no road to the altar. Access is horseback and off-road vehicles only; ordinary cars, buses and shuttles cannot be promised access. Agree on guest and vendor transport arrangements with the venue before reserving.
Yes — leashed dogs are welcome for the ceremony and photos, then head home with a designated handler. The open land was made for that portrait.
Real flower petals are welcome (your cleanup crew clears them). No confetti, glitter, birdseed, fireworks, pyrotechnics, or sparklers — we protect this land. And no open flame of any kind: battery candles only.
None worth writing down — the whole estate is yours to shoot. The altars, the plains, the sky: every angle is fair game.
Park County Clerk & Recorder in Fairplay (856 Castello Ave). Apply online ahead of time, then both of you pick it up with photo ID — about $30. Witnesses are optional in Colorado, no residency required, and the signed license goes back to the county within 35 days.
A 50% deposit reserves your date; the balance is due four months before your wedding. Every celebration also requires a $350 non-refundable damage waiver, providing waiver coverage for up to $2,000 in qualifying damage. Any amount beyond $2,000 remains the couple’s direct responsibility. The couple must also obtain event insurance covering damage exposure above $1,500, with $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate limits, and naming the venue as required. One million per occurrence is the most the insurance company will pay for a single covered incident, such as a guest suffering a serious injury; two million aggregate is the maximum the policy will pay across all covered claims during its policy period. Holiday dates (July 4th, Memorial Day & Labor Day weekends, New Year’s Eve) carry a $5,000 surcharge. Need more time? The $3,000 morning package opens property access at 9 a.m. instead of noon for vendors and everyone. Choose the $3,000 evening package for up to two extra celebration hours, ending at midnight. Crew-only cleanup follows from midnight to 1 a.m. the next day.
Vendors
When you book, we hand you our preferred vendors list — caterers, planners, photographers, florists, music, and rentals we trust with a day out here. You're welcome to use them, or to bring your own.
A professional wedding planner is required for every full-day and split-day wedding — weddings here run on professionals, and your people get to be guests. Elopements don't need one.
Professionals only: friends and family can't work your wedding — no volunteer catering, serving, setup, or teardown. They came to celebrate you.
Vendor hours: property access starts at noon for vendors and everyone, or 9 a.m. when the $3,000 morning package is selected. Standard celebrations end at 10 p.m., with crew-only cleanup until 11 p.m. With the $3,000 evening package, celebrations may continue until midnight and crew-only cleanup runs from midnight to 1 a.m. the next day. No day-before deliveries, no overnight storage, and all vehicles must leave by your confirmed cleanup deadline.
Bring your own officiant too — we don't provide one, and our preferred list includes officiants couples love.
Preferred vendors. The preferred-vendor fee is 15% of the final agreed vendor service price, included in that price; the vendor receives 85%, and the same service is not charged a second commission. Park County vendors outside the preferred circle have a 10% fee when applicable. Outside non-preferred vendor terms are not set here.
Existing furniture is included. Altar benches, feasting tables and chairs are included with every wedding at no extra charge, in their installed layout. Confirm the available counts and layout for your guest list before booking.
Your professionals handle the work. The estate provides no on-site wedding staff. Ask your planner who supplies the setup, moving and cleanup crew; coordination alone does not include that labor. Our fixed benches and feasting tables stay in place.
Extra rentals are separate. Tents, glassware, dishware, linens, extra seating and other rentals come through your caterer or rental company.
Cleanup is the one exception. Your cleanup crew must come from our preferred list. We hold strict standards on the turnaround — because the next couple's wedding has to be every bit as flawless as yours.
